Thousand Pillar Temple



A peaceful place to visit. The Thousand Pillar Temple is one of the very old temples of South India that was built by the kakatiyas. The temple has a number of pillars that are intricately carved and adorned. Rock-cut elephants and perforated screens in the temple are characteristic of the then prevailing dynasty. Many pilgrims visit. It is also a popular location for shooting films. It stands out to be a masterpiece and achieved major heights in terms of architectural skills by the ancient kakathiya vishwakarma sthapathis. It’s the first place that any explorer should visit in Warangal.


Pakhal lake - Wild life Sanctuary




Situated 50 km away from Warangal , this is an ideal place to go if you are a fan of natural scenic beauty !!! Adjoining the lake is the wildlife sanctuary spread over an area of over 860-sq-km. Consisting of a variety of flora and fauna you can witness the beauty of the migratory birds and waders if you visit at this time of the year. A peaceful boat ride in the evening  will just be an apt ending of the eventful day.


Lakhnavaram lake


A beautiful land-locked water body with lazy, green island strewn in between, this place is an absolute treat to eye. The lake has suspension bridges to one of the islands, and several jetties on the bridge and along the lake end. Visit the place positively if you wish to witness natural and man-made beauty hand in hand. The place is around 80 km away from Warangal but is well connected by road.


Dharmasagar


Those who are planning night camping Dharmasagar is just tailor-made for you. Around 15 km away from Warangal, it is believed to be one of the places where Lord Rama, Lakshmana and Sita from the Ramayana stayed during their exile. Reach the place in the evening, set up campfire and experience the adventure.
